Day 0 - stayed at The Hiker Hostel - Josh and Leigh run a fantastic opperation. Came and picked me up from North Springs via the MARTA - ran us to Wal-Mart, and taking us to the mountain. You don't get better service than that. Highly recommend staying with them. 12 of us are staying here - and I think most are starting at Springer - all of us have the same dream - to finish. Ranging from 4 months - 6 months. Everything is ready - feels like Christmas Eve or the night before school starts (when younger of course). Have everything ready - but need to cut a little more weight - only going to carry 2 liters of water based on advice. Also - Josh said not to start the first day with 16 miles - to drop that down to 8 - 10. He's done it - and I haven't so wise to listen. Josh and Leigh got the idea to open the hostel after doing their own thru hike - glad they did. Giving me ideas . . . . . . . .
